Well fitting maternity and nursing bras are designed to suit your shape during pregnancy and post-birth. Supportive bras that will help to protect and lift your breasts, which in turn improves your back posture. The skin around your breasts are increasingly sensitive during pregnancy and post-birth, so it is essential that you invest in good quality nursing bras that are gentle on your skin while still providing optimum support as your size fluctuates.

As your weight and size changes during pregnancy, we recommend that you are measured and fitted for a bra throughout the pregnancy at least around week 12 - 14, then a follow up fitting at week 28. To estimate what size nursing bra you'll need, you could take your measurement at week 28 and add 1-2 additional cup sizes.

However, we would strongly recommend that you fitter for a bra again 4 weeks after birth to ensure that you have the best fitting nursing bra after your milk comes in.

Tips for a Good Fit

When fitting for a nursing bra, it should fit on the middle hooks and the strap should have enough space to be adjusted to loosen throughout your pregnancy. The bra should be able to fit 2 finders under the band to ensure enough room for growth and you hand should be able to fit inside the cup to allow space for breast pads.
